Giuseppe Verdi defined Grotta Giusti "The eighth wonder of the world" and still today a visit to this cave is a wonderful experience.

In 1849 the quarrymen who were working in the estate of the Giusti family discovered by chance some hot vapours gushing out of the ground. They enlarged the cave and remained quite astonished when they saw the "Grotta", which had been a secret place until that moment.

Still today, the fascination of the stalactites and stalagmites that create incredible shadows emphasizes the fantastic silence of the cave.

A warm fascinating sound leads the visitor to Paradiso, Purgatorio and Inferno, in a unique and absolutely suggestive moment. The temperature slowly increases up to 34°C, thus making the "thermal vapour bath" particularly pleasant during all the 50 minutes while it is removing all toxins and stress.

This is how "Grotta Giusti" has become one of the most attractive thermal centres of Tuscany.
