Montecatini Terme has always been the perfect structure for the inspiration of great interpreters of the history of music: Gioacchino Rossini spent long periods in Montecatini, staying at the Locanda Maggiore Hotel. Here you can still see his "Music Room".

Giuseppe Verdi was a regular guest of Montecatini starting from 1882 for nineteen years. Here in town he frequently met Arrigo Boito and Giulio Ricordi.

Even Ruggero Leoncavallo, after being an occasional guest in town, linked himself to Montecatini Terme so much as to move here permanently, thus becoming for many years one of the most significant promoters of the cultural and musical life of the town, until his death that occurred in Montecatini in 1919.

Among the guests of our spa's we can also remember Pietro Mascagni, Richard Strauss, Alberto Fianchetti, who stayed in Montecatini with D'Annunzio, as well as many other artists.

And how can you forget the legendary "Pinocchio", the famous wooden puppet that has rocked the imagination of children all over the world?
Here, in the nearby village of Collodi, Carlo Lorenzini moved "Pinocchio" to his first shaky steps.

In the fantastic Collodi Park you can follow Pinocchio's history: the park truly represents the "Village of Toys" and here you can recall your childhood feelings.

Here in Collodi you can also visit the wonderful Italian style garden of the eighteenth-century Villa Garzoni.
